Where are the abstract ideas?
How did we come to create them?
Happiness, justice, history, there are thousands of other words like this. Words that do not correspond to anything in the real world. Ideas. A world of ideas. The human world is full of them. How did we come to create them? What are they? Where do they live? Do other animals have them? Does the concept predate speech or is it born of speech? Is there a way of thinking of them without actually hearing a voice in our head, independently of language?
What about art and music? How did we end up with them? Where are their precursors in the animal kingdom? Are these what make us human? Were we human before we had them? When did religion crop up? Why do we believe?
