Time and distance do nothing to aid memory. The only assistant is repetition, going over things in your mind again and again and again. But if you make a mistake once, if the mistaken impression is what you repeat over and over and over again to yourself, it leads down a slippery slope. Slope hope pope rope... Throw a rope to a drowning man. Don't give a rope to someone who wants to hang themselves. Don't hope if you can't stand disappointment. Don't disappoint hope. But hope can be thrust upon you from so many different directions. Hopes for you, hopes from you, potential. Potential people say is underutilized. unfulfilled. Why? How do you see it? Why are you so sure it is more than your impression? How do you know what's going on in someone else's head?
